How much does SEO cost in Dubai, and is it worth paying an agency?

Most of the basic SEO work a small Dubai business needs can be done in-house: a complete Google Business Profile, one page per service and Google Search Console. An agency pays off when you lack the time, when competition for your searches is hard, or when you want SEO and Google Ads run together. Whatever the monthly fee, it should buy named tasks and a report with clicks from Search Console, not a promised ranking.

A small Dubai business can do most basic SEO in-house: a complete Google Business Profile, one page per service and Google Search Console. An agency pays off when you lack time, competition is hard or you want SEO and Google Ads handled together. Whatever you pay should buy named tasks and a monthly report, not a promised position.

Understanding what SEO for a local business involves is not hard. The hard part is finding the time to do it, and doing it in the right direction.

What can you do yourself?

Most of what works for a local business needs a few hours and a clear idea of what your customers search for. It does not need an agency.

  1. Google Business Profile. Verify it, choose the right categories, add opening hours, photos and a description. It decides whether you show up on the map. How it works is in local SEO in Dubai.
  2. One page per service. Every service you want to be found for needs its own page, with the service and the area in the heading. A page called “Services” that lists everything rarely ranks for anything.
  3. Consistent details everywhere. Your business name, phone number and address should be identical on your website, your Business Profile and the directories you are listed in.
  4. Search Console. Connect Google Search Console. It is free and shows which searches give you impressions and clicks.
  5. Reviews. Ask happy customers for a Google review. It shows directly in the search results.

When does an SEO agency pay off?

An agency pays off when what you lose by waiting is worth more than the agency costs. Four situations usually decide it.

  • You do not have the time. SEO done once and then forgotten gives less than SEO that is followed up.
  • Competition is hard. Where many businesses fight over the same search in the same area, the basics are not enough.
  • The website is the problem. If the site is slow, lacks a page per service or is hard for Google to read, it needs rebuilding first.
  • You want to advertise at the same time. Google Ads and SEO complement each other, and it is easier when the same person handles both.

What should a monthly SEO fee in Dubai cover?

A monthly SEO fee should buy work you can name and results you can check. Before you sign, ask the agency to list what it does each month, such as technical fixes, new or improved pages, Business Profile updates and review follow-up, and how many hours or deliverables that is. Ask which report you get and where the numbers come from. Google Search Console is free and shows clicks, impressions and average position per search, so there is no reason for a report to show only “visibility scores” from a tool you cannot open yourself. Ask about lock-in and notice period, because SEO takes months to show and some contracts run a year. And ask whether VAT is included, since the 5% difference is easy to miss when comparing monthly fees. A fee that cannot be broken into tasks, a report and terms is hard to judge, whatever the amount.

Should anyone guarantee a ranking?

No. Google decides the ranking. An agency that guarantees the first position is promising something it cannot control. What an agency can promise is the work, the timeline and an honest report.

What does SEO cost with us?

SEO basics are built into every website we make. On top of that, Google Visibility is a one-off setup for AED 749, and the Growth Plan costs AED 749/month, where we run Google Ads and SEO together.

There is no lock-in, and the notice period is one month. All prices exclude VAT and are on pricing.

What has SEO done for our clients?

Our clients so far are in Sweden, so these numbers say nothing about Dubai searches, but they show the kind of reporting you should expect. The figures come from Google Search Console and compare 1 April to 29 June with 30 June to 27 September 2026, fetched on 2 October 2026.

Client (Sweden) Clicks before Clicks after Change
Butcher and deli, Kungälv 529 1,744 +229%
Cleaning company, Gothenburg 1,453 3,933 +170%
Cleaning company, Gothenburg 303 580 +91%
Landscaping company, Gothenburg 86 136 +58%

Across all nine clients we have Search Console access for, clicks rose from 2,599 to 6,746, or 160%, and impressions rose 70%. Two of the nine went down, and they are included in the total.

Two caveats. All four in the table got both a new website and SEO from us, so the increase is not from SEO alone. And two three-month periods also capture seasonal swings. The full stories are under work.

Can you combine both?

It does not have to be one or the other. Many businesses let an agency set up the foundation once, then handle reviews, photos and new pages themselves. The foundation is the part that is easiest to get wrong and hardest to notice you got wrong.

Check Search Console every month. If impressions rise but clicks do not, the titles and descriptions in the search results need work. If nothing rises after a few months, it is time to ask someone who does this every day.
