How much does a website cost in Dubai?

A small business website in Dubai has two prices: the build and the yearly cost of keeping it. The build depends mostly on the number of pages, who writes the copy and the platform. With us, the build is a fixed AED 2,900 (1 to 3 pages), AED 4,500 (5 to 10 pages) or AED 6,900 (10+ pages), excluding 5% VAT, live in 14 to 21 days. The yearly floor is domain, hosting and email.

A website in Dubai has two prices: the build and the yearly cost of keeping it. The build depends mostly on pages, copy and platform. With us it is a fixed AED 2,900, AED 4,500 or AED 6,900, excluding 5% VAT, live in 14 to 21 days. The yearly floor is domain, hosting and email.

Most answers to “how much does a website cost” only give the build price. The second number, the cost of keeping the site, comes back every year and is easier to work out.

What drives the price of a website?

Four things move the price more than anything else.

  • Number of pages. A one-page site and a site with a page per service are different jobs. Each service page needs its own copy, headings and structure.
  • Who writes the copy. If you supply finished text, the agency builds around it. If the agency writes it, that is often the largest share of the work.
  • The platform. A site builder plan, a WordPress site and a static site have very different running costs, even when they look the same.
  • Features. Booking, online payment, a shop or a members’ area each add work and often a monthly fee to a third party.

Language matters too. A site in English and Arabic is two sets of copy, two sets of page titles and a check that the Arabic layout reads right to left correctly. Ask whether the quote covers both languages or only one.

What do our fixed prices include?

Package Price (excl. VAT) Pages Live in
Launch AED 2,900 1 to 3 14 days
Expand AED 4,500 5 to 10 14 days
Complete AED 6,900 10+ 21 days

Complete also includes three months of priority support. Every package is a static site, built to load fast on a phone and to be read by Google and AI search. You pay 50% when we start and 50% at launch. The price is fixed in the quote before we start, and it does not change because the job turned out bigger than we thought.

What does a website cost per year in Dubai?

The yearly cost of a small business website has a floor of four items, and only three of them cost money. The domain is paid every year to a registrar. The .ae registry is run by .aeDA under the TDRA, and any applicant can register a second-level .ae name under its eligibility policy. The price you pay is set by the registrar you buy through, so compare renewal prices, not first-year prices. Hosting depends on the platform: a WordPress site needs a server with PHP and a database and a monthly fee, while a static site can run on a free hosting tier because there is no database to keep alive. Email on your own domain is usually priced per mailbox per month, so five staff means five times the price. The security certificate costs nothing, because Let’s Encrypt has issued free certificates since 2015. Everything above that floor is optional: maintenance contracts, plugin licences and new content.

Where does the cost creep up?

The introductory price that expires. Hosting and domains are often sold at a large discount for year one and renew at list price. Check the renewal price. It is in the terms, not the advert.

The price per mailbox. Email is priced per user. Count users, not accounts.

The maintenance contract that is hosting with a markup. A maintenance contract can be reasonable. Ask what it includes, line by line, and what was done in the last twelve months. More on that in website maintenance.

Do Dubai website prices include VAT?

Not always, which is why two quotes that look similar can differ by 5% on the invoice. The standard VAT rate in the UAE is 5%, set in Federal Decree-Law No. 8 of 2017. Our prices exclude VAT. We invoice from our Swedish company, and we work with customers who are VAT registered in the UAE and have a TRN. When a VAT-registered business imports services for its business, the law treats it as supplying them to itself and it accounts for the VAT (article 48 of the same decree-law). This is the reverse charge. Businesses must register for VAT once taxable supplies pass AED 375,000 a year, according to the Federal Tax Authority, so many small businesses have no TRN. Without a TRN we cannot take the job yet.

What does it cost with us after launch?

Hosting and running the site with us: AED 219/month. Host it yourself and you pay us nothing per month. Domain: free the first year, then AED 749/year. Email on your domain: AED 35 per address/month. Small changes without hosting: AED 649/hour. Larger changes get a fixed-price quote before we start.

How do you compare quotes?

Put every quote in the same table: build price, VAT included or not, number of pages, who writes the copy, cost per year after launch, who owns the domain, and payment terms. The quote with the lowest headline price is not always the cheapest over three years. The questions to ask are in how to choose a web design company in Dubai.

All our prices are on pricing.
